Policing the Playground: A New Model For Schools Policing

Liberty's new research report Policing the Playground: a new model for schools policing examines the impact of the Met Police's decision to remove police officers from schools in London and shift them into Neighbourhood Policing Teams.

The report identifies factors that influence the effectiveness of the police-school relationship. It proposes a way for police and schools to structure that relationship to meet police forces' commitments to eliminate racial disproportionality in policing and improve outcomes for Black and Global Majority young people.
